Mr.Ivan Grixti

Mr.Ivan Grixti MA(Lanc); BA(Hons)Accountancy; MCIArb; FAIA(Acad); FIA; CPA was unanimously elected President of the Society on Sunday 20th April 2008 during the Annual General Meeting held at the Club in Valletta.

Mr.Grixti was born in Sliema in 1967. given that his childhood was split up between the parishes of St.Gregory in Sliema and that of St.Dominic in Valletta he became more inclined to dedicate his spare time to, initially church decorating at St.Dominic’s and subsequently to the King’s Own Band Club.

Mr.Grixti has been a member of the committee since 1998. In 2004 he was appointed Senior Vice-President being entrusted with forging links with the other social and business communities in Valletta. As a fully qualified accountant he has been instrumental in the upgrading of the society’s computerised accounting system.

Mr.Grixti is a full time academic member of staff of the University of Malta. Like his predecessor he is a member on the newly established SAVING CALI FOUNDATION. He is also a member of the Internal Audit Committee of the Arch-diocese of Malta, a member of the supervisory board of the Agricultural Cooperative Limited as well as a member of the Accounting Standards Committee within the Malta Institute of Accountants.
